We are pleased to offer From The Private Collection Of Lance Carter A Truck So Special, It Could Only Be Called “Ace of Spades” In keeping with his family’s tradition of craftsmanship, Lance Carter proudly offers his award-winning truck, Ace of Spades, to quality-minded collectors who appreciate excellence. When someone truly passionate about retro-mods sets out to modify a truck, the result is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the right individual. And this is one opportunity you won’t want to miss. Offered at a price that belies its immaculate, top-of-the-line features, this is one of those rare finds that enthusiasts dream of… but fully expect to pay a mint for. As one of Lance’s personal labors of love, this spare-no-expenses charmer is what you might call the “Filet Mignon” of beefed-up trucks. Exquisitely rebuilt from bumper to custom bumper by the professionals at Carter Speed and Custom (at a hopelessly devoted price tag of $160,000, no less!), Ace of Spades has already gained recognition by collectors the world over. One look at this elegant street rod and the reason will become unmistakably clear. For starters, the truck’s pristine exterior sparkles like a jewel in classic House of Kolor Base & Clear coat Black. The body has been painstakingly and thoughtfully modified … no cutting corners here… paying homage to the Ford’s original character and charm. Shaved emblems and door handles, which now operate by remote control, offer modern convenience in keeping with the truck’s classic good looks. Equally important, the truck bed – complete with stainless strips and fasteners – pops nicely in eye-catching cherry red, a nod to the truck’s interior. The custom stainless exhaust system is seamlessly directed from under the running board with functional stainless zoomies. And the red, 17” and 18” American Racing “Salt Flat Special” wheels and NITTO high performance tires provide just the right touch of bling to compliment the black beauty’s curves. To maximize performance, the front suspension employs a beefy ‘86 Monte Carlo clip and the frame has been boxed and “C” notched in the rear rails for clearance with ride height changes. The nine inch rear end incorporates top-of-the-line Strange fabricated housing. A Ridetech E-3 air pod controls the four-wheel system with three preset levels and independent control, An Aluminum fuel cell, MSD “Atomic” fuel injection and pump complete the high-end package. All of these High Tech goodies hidden under vintage Moon Equipment, finned aluminum air cleaner, valve covers, remote master cylinder reservoir and coolant recirculation tank. Clicking open the driver’s side door and sliding into the gorgeous Italian leather seat, you’ll want to linger for awhile. Like fine art, every detail of the vehicle’s interior invites a look… from clean gauges to the perfectly placed Ace of Spades logo that is so expertly stitched you’d swear it was original to the seats. It’s also been tastefully fitted with modern comforts like ice cold Vintage air, power windows with switches cleverly disguised as original handles, power steering, cruise control, tilt column and, as if that weren’t enough, a killer Sony head unit that accepts your I-Phone or equivalent for Bluetooth operation. The I Pod controlled Stereo really Rocks. Safety features include disc brakes, air bag suspension with OEM reliability, and a drive train that has been modernized with Vortec style 350 cubic inch Chevy engine with a modified 4L60E, 4 speed overdrive lockup automatic transmission and controlled by a TCI EZ TCU unit with stock and user programmable shift points and firmness controls.
